What it does
Dingo is a household AI assistant. You tell Scout what needs doing. Scout can clarify the request, propose a plan, place phone calls, send SMS or MMS, ask for approval, and write each action to the Ledger.
I’m preparing Dingo for an open-source release and working out the remaining kinks.
On a live call you can whisper an instruction, join from a verified phone, use Call me to take over, approve the next step, or hang up. A five-level autonomy dial sets how often Scout asks. Per-domain settings can be stricter than the dial.

- Routines: standing orders, one-time or recurring work, and household facts Scout remembers
- Deputies: specialist agents with their own instructions and restricted tools; Scout can dispatch an enabled Deputy when a task fits
- AI providers: ChatGPT (Codex) or Grok (xAI) subscriptions, OpenRouter as the default, and custom OpenAI-compatible endpoints
Completed actions expose an undo countdown when the outside world provides a reversal window. The wallet models capped virtual cards, purchases, refunds, approvals, and undo. Commerce is simulated in the current release. Dingo does not issue real cards or move real money.
