Linear Plugin for Paseo
Read the issue. Start the agent.
Overview
The plugin adds a Linear screen and a workspace panel to Paseo. Search your issues, edit them, and make new ones there. From any issue, start an agent that implements it or reviews the work. Your Linear API key stays on the daemon host.

Browse
The backlog, sorted.
Issues group by status and load as you scroll. Sort by last update, newest, priority, due date, or title. Turn on Sub-issues, and each one sits under its parent.
Filters
Show Mine, Everyone, or Unassigned, then filter by status and team.
Sub-issues
A collapsed parent shows how many sub-issues it hides.
Breadcrumbs
The header shows the team and each parent. A long chain folds its middle until you open it.
Team mapping
Map Linear teams to a Paseo project, and the panel opens on the first one.
Edit
Edit in place.
Select a chip to change status, priority, or assignee. Descriptions are Markdown, and they save about 1 second after you stop typing.
Saving
The line under the editor reads Saving…, then Saved to Linear. A failed save shows Retry.
Task lists
Check a box in the description. The plugin changes only that box and saves it.
Comments
Comments render as Markdown. Add yours in the Activity section.
New issues
Set the team, status, priority, assignee, title, and a Markdown description.
Agents
Start an agent from the issue.
Start agent and Start review open a setup page with the issue in the prompt. Pick the model, thinking level, and mode with the same controls as the Paseo composer.
Where it runs
A new worktree on the issue branch, the linked pull request for a review, this workspace, or the project folder.
Options
Add the comments to the prompt. Move the issue to In Progress and assign it to you.
Last choices
The setup page starts from your last launch. A default model in Settings comes first.
Agent first
The agent starts before Linear changes. If the update fails, the agent keeps running.
Composer
Attach an issue to a message.
Choose Attach Linear issue in the composer, then search by identifier or title. The agent gets the issue text with your message.
/linear
/linear opens the panel. /linear ENG-123 opens that issue, and any other words search.
Recent issues
An empty search lists the 20 most recently updated.
Snapshot
The plugin copies the issue when you select it. Later edits in Linear leave your message as it was.
Keys
One key per Linear workspace.
Set a default key once. A Paseo project can use its own key for a different Linear workspace. The plugin checks each key with Linear before it saves it.
Lookup order
The project key, then the saved default, then LINEAR_API_KEY from the daemon environment.
Switching
With project keys saved, a key button in the filter row switches between them.
On disk
The key file has mode 0600, in a folder with mode 0700. Disconnect deletes it.
Security
The key stays on the daemon.
The app sends a key to the daemon once, when you save it. The daemon never sends it back. The app gets the last 4 characters to show which key is in use.
API calls
Only the daemon calls the Linear GraphQL API. The client bundle has no credentials.
Cache
Up to 300 responses stay in memory for up to 24 hours. A daemon restart clears them.
Separate keys
Cached results are grouped by a hash of the key, so two keys never share results.
Agent prompts
The prompt holds the template and an issue snapshot. Comments go in only when you turn that option on.
Get started
Open source. Version 1.0.
You need Paseo 0.10.0 or later with plugins turned on, and a Linear personal API key. To change issues, the key needs write access.
After you install, open Settings → Plugins → Linear → Account, paste the key, and select Connect Linear.
